Welcome

Launched in 2003 by the African Union (AU), the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) is a mutually agreed instrument voluntarily acceded to by the Member States of the AU as an African self-monitoring mechanism.

The APRM is a bold, unique and innovative approach designed and implemented by Africans for Africa. On this website, you will find all documents and information regarding its history, different events organized by the Secretariat, activities of the Forum of Heads of State and Government participating in the APRM, as well as those of the Panel of Eminent Persons and the Focal Points.

As you can see, we decided to renew this communication tool to improve our visibility and to clearly outline our mission and mandate. All our staff is at your disposal for any questions relating to the APRM, an institution supported by the Regional Bureau for Africa of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), its three Strategic Partners.

Thank you for your interest. We welcome your feedback.

The APRM is an initiative of the African Union
