Liberia Statistical Validation Process

Monrovia, 13th June 2017- Liberia Statistical Validation Process kicks off today, the 13th of June 2017 and will end on the 15th of June 2017. It follows the Liberia Country Review process conducted from the 5th of April 2017 till the 20nd of April 2017. A team from the APRM Continental Secretariat are in Monrovia to validate the report and obtain a sign-off by the government of Liberia. This is the final stage in preparations for the APR Forum of Heads of State and Government of countries participating in the APRM, planned for July 2017. The Statistical validation exercise is conducted with the Liberia APRM national structures and the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo -  Information Services.
The objective of the Statistical Validation of the Liberia Country Review Report No. 21 is to verify whether the value of data item in the Country Review Report are from a given set of acceptable values and sources to both the reviewed government and independent statisticians. The Statistical Validation process serves to moderate disparities and inconsistencies in statistical data, that may potentially weigh in on the integrity of the report.
