Document info

Description
Rwanda was among the first sixteen countries to accede to the APRM and the Second one in which review process was launched. It is a historical achievement as we all have in mind the tragedy that devastated the Rwanda and its people about ten years ago. This demonstrates Rwanda’ s commitment to improve governance and share experiences with other African countries to avoid that such an horror be repeated elsewhere in the continent. Furthermore, the novel fact that an African Country engages in the widest possible national consultative process with all its stakeholders so as to address its governance shortcomings and weaknesses through a Programme of Action is unprecedented in the history of this continent and, indeed, in the entire world.
